Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan issue show-cause to owners of smuggled goods

FAISALABAD: Additional Collector Adjudication Beelamur Ramzan has issued a show-cause notice in seizure case of smuggled goods.

Sources told Customs Today that Additional Collector Adjudication Beelamur Ramzan has issued the show cause notice to Riaz Hussain, Ammar Yasir, Rashid Mehmood, and Muhammad Shabaz Hussain in a seizure case of cigarettes, foreign origin gas products, cherry for all smoking device, pan parag , cloth velvet, baby and children shoes of different brand along with vehicle being used for transportation of smuggled goods.

As per details, Superintendent Saeed Akhtar Joiya intercepted a truck bearing registration no. 7121 near Gattwala Toll Plaza Sheikhupura and found 192-rolls of foreign origin cloths, cigarettes and other items that includes baby shoes (1722-pairs ), gutka pan parag (10-packets ), gas lighter (40 box), cherry (4 pieces ).  These smuggled goods were being transported from Lahore to Faisalabad.

Adjudication authority directed owner of the goods to attend the hearing along with legal documentary evidence.

Collectorate also directed the deputy director ASO Faisalabad to depute any relevant official to attend the hearing on the schedule date along with relevant record.
