ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has established a cell in the federal capital dedicated to end children abductions in Punjab and the sale of body organs.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the agency is looking for more information regarding the issue. He has urged the people to inform about any kind of information on 051-2612281 or write to the cell at [email protected]. Informants can also approach the agency on text messages at 0344-5511457.

FIA has established a cell owing to a rising number of abductions in Punjab, mainly Lahore, for organs. Nearly a dozen such cases have surfaced in the last month and a half; alarming the police whose, chief stated, “Most of the children who go missing, run from their houses due to family troubles and violence.” He said that not all the children that have gone missing were kidnapped.
