Customs, FIA to start anti-human smuggling drive

KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started investigation against criminals involved in human smuggling across the country.

According to sources, the Pakistan Customs and the FIA have started the investigation after the increased number complaints. Both the departments are also willing to take anti-smuggling cell on board for the detailed, secret as well as sold investigation against the suspects.

All the departments concerned have spread the net of informers and the data will be compiled in the first row. On the other hand, the raids have been conducted to nab the culprits.

The departments are also collecting the data from the social media whereas the public has been asked to come forward and provide details of the culprits involved in the human smuggling within the country as well as to the foreign countries. The names of the informers will be kept in secret.

The FIA has also issued the email address, cellular and landline numbers for the citizens to provide details of the culprits or share any details.

The source informed that more than 1,000 human trafficking networks operating across the country and majority present in the central Punjab province. These organized criminal gangs primarily use Pakistan’s south-western Balochistan province, which shares a border with Iran, as a trafficking route to Europe and the Middle East.
