Customs Adjudication issues show-cause notice to accused involving in smuggling

FAISALABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issued show-cause notice to owner of smuggled cloth Abdul Rashid son of Noor Mohammad. The smuggled goods involving customs duty and taxes Rs3,90,000.

Sources told Customs Today Customs Anti-smuggling Organization (ASO) Superintendent Saeed Akhtar Joiya along with teams established pickets near Motorway Chowk, Sargodha Road Faisalabad and intercepted a Kohistan bus bearing registration no. FDS-1176 which was coming from Lahore to Faisalabad and recovered smuggled cloth.

Customs Intelligence forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication department.  Now Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication, Faisalabad Asma Hameed has issued show cause notice to Abdul Rasheed son of Noor Muhammad who is a resident of Faisalabad.

The authority also directed if the owner fails to provide evidence the case will be decided on the basis of evidence available on demand.
