LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisemnet and Customs Staff and Employees Union Lahore Tuesday held a function in connection with celebration of the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan at Topaz Hotel in Johar Town.
Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Samaira Nazir was the chief guest while a large number of Customs officers including Collector of Customs Appraisement Muhammad Sadiq, Collector of Customs Preventive Dr Zulfiqar Younas, Multan Collector of Customs Sarfraz Warrich, Collector Appeal Asif Mehmood Jah, Collector Traiq Huda, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director Saud Imran Ahmad Additional Collector Jamil Nasir, Additional Director Ambreen Tarar, Additional Collector Mehreen Tarar, Additional Collector Amir Rasheed, Assistant Collector Usman Tariq, Deputy Collector Headquarters Afzal Mehmood and others were present on the occasion.
Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir said that Pakistan has been achieved in the results of countless sacrifices of our ancestors and every one of us should work hard for its development and growth. Chief collector Samaira Nazir stressed the need for more hard work for its advancements and progress
Lahore Appraisement Collector of Customs Muhammad Sadiq told Customs Today that “Pakistan has given us everything and in return we should also work for its wellbeing and upliftment”.
He added that when Pakistan came into being its people had faced numerous hardships and sufferings but today Pakistan has everything but the journey does not end here rather we have a long way to go to achieve more millstones.
He urged the customs officers to work hard for the growth and advancement of the country and the Customs department.
Customs staff and employees union President Ameer Haider pledged to work for the improvement and betterment of the Customs department and for the country.
On the occasion customs national anthem was played and all the customs officers expressed their allegiance and adherence with both Customs Department and Pakistan.
