Deputy Collector Hanif hopes Sialkot Collectorate will achieve revenue target for 2016-17

SIALKOT: Deputy Collector Muhammad Hanif has said that the performance of all departments of Model Customs Collectorate of Sialkot is much better and collectorate has achieved targets for fiscal year 2015-16.

The deputy collector told Customs Today that the department will achieve target of fiscal year 2016-17 which will be assigned by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He said that the customs staff is working hard on the special instructions of Collector Ahmed Reza Khan while the collection from defaulters is improving day by day. He added that the recovery teams are performing duties diligently.

He said that the Chief Collector Samaira Nazir said that the Model Customs Collectorat (MCC) Sialkot is improving his status. He said that FBR has also hailed the performance of Sialkot Customs and Collector has good relations with other officers. The deputy collector said that officers and subordinate staff work jointly so that all matters related to custom department will clear in time. He said that the export from Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) increased and export increasing condition is doing much better by the guidance of customs department to exporters.

He said that the performance of Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) three Zones is very well and the ASO staff is very punctual and performing duty honestly. He assured that the ASO of all zones are struggling to success Anti Smuggling Campaign which was started by the order of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the results of FBR are very fruitful whereas the smuggling is on decline and smugglers are fleeing from the Region. He said that the security arrangements of premises of Sialkot Customs are very tight and security staff is very alert to control any unpleasant incident.
