Sialkot Customs collects Rs19 million till 19th August

SIALKOT: Assistant Collector Customs Sialkot Fahad Bashir Chaudhary has said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has assigned revenue collection target of Rs 20 million per month and Customs Sialkot is using all available resources to achieve this target.

Talking to Customs Today, Fahad said that the department collected Rs 24 million during the month of July against the assigned target of Rs 20 million. He said that importers of Sialkot mostly import leather and raw material which is being used in sports goods, surgical and musical instruments.

He said that the import of said material is very sufficient at Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) for importers of Sialkot whereas the importers of Sialkot are extending their full support and cooperation to Customs department.

He said that Customs department has collected Rs 16 million against assigned target of Rs 20 million till August 19, 2016.

He said that the Customs Department will achieve import target rather surpass the target against assigned target of FBR Rs.20 million. He said that the Customs department is working hard to strengthen the national economy day by day and the results of hard work of officers of officials of customs department are fruitful.

He said Collector Customs Ahmed Reza Khan is also working hard to achieve target and all officials are performing their duty honestly and dedicatedly.
