Adjudication DC Asma hears 21cases of smuggling

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has conducted hearing of 21 cases related to smuggling and tax evasion on Saturday.

As per details, three cases were forwarded by the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Mianwali against Sanaullah, Ejaz and Muhammad Akbar who are allegedly involved in smuggling of pineapple tins, Toyota Passo and Mitsubishi Pajero. One case was submitted by the Khushab ASO against Abdul Samad allegedly involved in using smuggled Toyota Corolla X car bearing Registration No AAN-517.

The deputy collector also heard two cases, which were submitted by Sargodha ASO in which a case of impounded Suzuki Jimny Seira Jeep bearing Registration No BA- 9566 and another case of confiscated caterpillar products against Muhammad Sohail..

The Faisalabad ASO filed eleven cases involving different smuggled items, including Honda car bearing Registration No MLC-6767, cloth, Toyota Hiace van Registration No R-0457 and machinery. The cases were registered against Azhar Rasheed Mirza, Manzoor, Rasheed, Khalid, Qasim, Noor, Waqas, Karamat, Ehsan ul Haq Ali, Abdul Rasheed, Bilal, Khalid and Rashid.

Asma Hameed also heard four cases of Jhang ASO against Muhammad Saleem, Mazhar Abbas, Muhammad Azeem, and Muhammad Abbas allegedly involved in smuggling of tyres, tubes, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Coaster, and Hino Milk Tanki.

After conducting hearing of cases, Deputy Collector Asma Hameed adjourned all cases until next dates. The deputy collector directed all relevant parties to make ensure their appearance during next date of hearing.
