Over Rs 5.26b allocated for 19 new schemes

SIALKOT: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Dr Asif Tufail on Monday said more than Rs 5.26 billion had been allocated for 19 new road schemes in the district during the current fiscal year.

He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of District Development Committee here in his office. He informed that Rs 1 billion would be spent for the construction of fly-over at Sublime Chowk. He said Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had already given approval of the projects. He said all the projects would be completed in the stipulated time and the government would not compromise on quality of work. He said the government would soon start work on all development projects. ADC Dr. Umer Sher Chatha, EDO Finanace, Shuja Qutub Bhatti and others were present on the occasion.
