FBR extends date for filing income tax returns till Sep 30

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the last date for filing income tax return by the salaried individuals up to September 30.

In an Income Tax Circular 09, the FBR said that date of filing of Income Tax Returns/Statements which was due on August 31, 2016 for salaried individuals hereby further extended to September 30, 2016.

The date of filing of returns of total income/statement of final taxation under section 115(4) due on August 31, 2016 is also extended to September 30, 2016.

Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA), in a letter to the FBR chairman, demanded the extension in date for filing returns to at least two months.
