ISLAMABAD: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigations Headquarters held a condolence meeting to pay tributes to the employees who died while performing their duties.
Talking to families of the deceased employees, Chairman FBR, Nisar Mohammad Khan said that he personally wanted to participate in this gathering to pay tributes to the bereaved families. He said that Customs department was proud of having the services of such kind of devoted, honest and brave employees. He said that services rendered by these employees will be long remembered.
Prominent among those who attended the condolence gathering includes Chairman FBR Nisar Mohammad Khan, Director General Intelligence and Investigations Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Chief Collector North Sarwat Tahira Habib, Chief F&C Akhlaq Khattak, Additional Director Headquarters Abdul Waheed Marwat, Additional Director Rawalpindi Mohammad Saleem, Additional Director Karam Elahi, Deputy Director Khuldunul Haq and other officials.
On this occasion compensation cheques were distributed among the heirs of deceased employees, while a prominent business personality of Islamabad Shahzad Riaz also donated an amount of Rs2,00,000 each for the families of deceased employees. It is also necessary to mention here that Rs1,50,000 were generated by customs and FBR employees by themselves for the deceased employees.
Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigations Imtiaz Ahmad Khan while talking to families of deceased employees said that customs department will extend all out support to them to meet their needs.
At the end participants of the gathering prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls eternal peace and grant courage to bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude and courage.
