Lawyers to boycott court proceedings against Mardan attack today

LAHORE: Lawyers across Pakistan will boycott the court proceedings on September 3 to protest the suicide attack on Mardan court in which 13 persons were killed.

A senior lawyer said that lawyers will also boycott the proceedings of the Customs Court on Saturday to show solidarity with injured persons and to mourn martyrs of Mardan court suicide attack took place on Friday.

According to sources at least thirteen people were killed and 30 persons including lawyers and policemen sustained injuries after two back to back powerful explosions hit district court in northwestern district of Mardan on Friday morning.

The bomber shot his way through the main gate leading to the district court, before throwing a hand grenade then detonating his suicide vest among the morning crowds, senior police official Ejaz Khan told to media.
