IHC to hear three tax references on Monday

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will take up three references on Monday, challenging the show cause notices issued by the Regional Tax Office (RTO) and Large Taxpayers’ Unit (LTU) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

These cases would be heard by two benches of the IHC. Two cases will be heard by IHC judge, Justice Aamer Farooq and one case would be heard by Justice Athar Minallah.

Justice Aamer Farooq will hear cases filed by M/s Mol Pakistan Oil and Gas and TF Pipes Limited. Both the appellants had named the officers of the LTU and RTO as respondents.

M/s Mol Pakistan named the LTU commissioner Inland Revenue and deputy commissioner Inland Revenue in the case.

TF Pipes Limited named the RTO commissioner, deputy commissioner Inland Revenue and commissioner appeals in the petition.

Justice Athar would hear a case filed by M Sajid and he had named assistant collector customs, Torkhum Peshawar in the case.
