Chief Collector Zahid hails performance of Collector Saifuddin

KARACHI: Customs Enforcement-South Chief Collector Muhammad Zahid Khokhar has held a meeting with Customs Preventive Collector Dr Saifuddin Junejo at his office and lauded the performance of the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO).

During the meeting, the chief collector lauded the prompt action taken by the ASO in which it foiled a major attempt to smuggle contraband items.

Zahid asked the Collector Dr Saifuddin Junejo to conduct investigation into the said case in order to bust the entire smuggling cartel which was behind the menace of smuggling.

On the occasion, the chief collector assured his full support to the authorities concerned of Customs Preventive in order to curb the smuggling.

It is pertinent to mention here that the ASO on a tip off has foiled a smuggling bid in which the smugglers were tried to smuggled millions of worth cellular phones and other contraband items.

During the operation, the ASO team also arrested two accused including a driver and cleaner while further investigation into the case is underway.
