Collector Port Qasim Mukarram Jah seeks details of cases pending in different courts

KARACHI: Collector of Model Customs Collectorate Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Mukarram Jah, has held a meeting of the law department staff and discussed the status of pending cases in courts.

The meeting was attended by the additional collectors and deputy collectors in which the collector asked the staff members to prepare a detailed list of the legal cases, which were pending in different courts since long.

The officials briefed Collector Mukarram Jah about the status of the cases. The Collector asked the officers to evolve an effective strategy to disposed of the cases from courts.

It is pertinent to mention here that the cases regarding tax evasion, mis-declaration and impounding of smuggled vehicles are pending in Customs Court, Customs Tribunal and other courts, including Sindh High Court (SHC) and Sessions Court.
