Customs Central Region collects Rs 17.5bm in August

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region collected Rs 17.559 billion under the head of duty and taxes during August, 2016.

As per details, the Customs Appraisement collected Rs 8.591 billion as all duty and taxes against Rs 8.983 billion generated during the same period of financial year 2015-16.

The Customs Preventive on the other hand collected Rs 4.177 million in wake of duty and taxes during the August 2016 against Rs 4.108 billion of August 2015.

The Multan Customs collected Rs 3.208 billion duty and taxes during the said period against the collection of Rs 6.072 billion during August 2015, while Faisalabad Customs collected Rs 1.581 billion duty and taxes August 2016 against Rs 665 million collected during August 2015.

Overall, the Central Region collected Rs 17.559 billion during second month of new fiscal year against Rs 19.829 billion during August 2015.
