Customs Appraisement collects Rs 1,737m customs duty in August

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement has collected Rs 1,737 million customs duty during August from various stations, including dry port Mughalpura Lahore, Carriage and Freight Station, Machikay and Prem Nagar.

The Appraisement collected Rs 504 million during the period under review against Rs 590 million collected during the same month of the last financial year.

The collectorate collected Rs 821 million from Machikay during August 2011-17 against Rs 832 million collected during August 2015-16.

On the other hand the collectorate collected Rs 91 million from Prem Nagar dry port against the collection of Rs 100 million during the month of August 2015-16.

The collectorate paid no refunds and rebate during the period under review while it extended Rs 8 million rebate and refunds during the period of August 2015-16.
