Collector Gwadar Saeed Akram hails performance of officers for achieving target of 1Q

KARACHI: Collector of Customs Gwadar Saeed Akram chaired a meeting at his office on Monday and hailed the performance of the officers for for surpassing the revenue target by 78 percent in the first quarter (from July to September) of the fiscal year 2016-17.

The collector advised the officials to maintain their performance in connection with achieving the revenue targets in terms of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) set by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The collector also asked the authorities to be vigilant to stop tax evasion by means of mis-declaration and under-invoicing.

It is pertinent to mention here that the total revenue collection target of the Collectorate or the first quarters of the FY2016-17 was Rs3103.07million adding that the Collectorate was collected Rs5524.5million against the given target with an increase of 78per cent.

The Collector Gwadar further said that the effective strategy is to be remained same in other quarters for the FY2016-17.
