Customs Intelligence books M/s Rahat Ampex for alleged mis-declaration

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Enforcement has foiled a bid to clear a consignment by M/s Rahat Ampex and saved millions of rupees duty and taxes.

The source informed that M/s Rahat Ampex was clearing a consignment related to toiletries items weighting 9.50 metric tons. The consignment worth $80,000 was shown as $65,000 to save Rs 4.5 million of duty and taxes.
