Tax evasion: Customs Export issues notice to M/s Al Waris Chemicals & Merchants

KARACHI: The Customs Exports has issued show cause notice to the management of M/s Al Waris Chemicals and Merchants.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of the import data of M/s Al Waris Chemicals and Merchants it was revealed that the company availed undue benefits and concessions by importing different consignments of chemicals.

The company availed undue concessions and benefits by using wrong PCT heading and SRO. Now Customs Export authorities issued final notice to the management of M/s Al Waris Chemicals to clear outstanding amount of Rs9,89,000 within seven days otherwise stern legal action will be taken against them.

Sources said that in response to Customs Export authorities notice the management of M/s Al Huda Garments deposited the amount of Rs6,45,000 in the national kitty.

Sources said that stern legal action will taken against those companies who found involved in availing benefits and concessions by using wrong PCT heading and SRO.
