FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam-ur-Ramzan has issued a show cause notice to Mir Ahmed who is owner of a Hino truck being used for smuggling.
Sources told Customs Today that Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounded the truck bearing registration no. C – 9297 during an intelligence based operation near MM Alam Road, Mianwali.
During the checking of vehicles, the Customs Intelligence team intercepted the vehicle and its owner introduced himself as Mir Ahmad .
On demand of the Customs team, Mir Ahmed failed to produce documents regarding legal import of the vehicle. The customs Intelligence team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication.
The Customs Adjudication issued notices to accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969.
