FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issued a show cause notice to owner of a non-duty paid Honda Aria car.
Faisalabad Customs Intelligence team following credible information impounded a Honda Aria car bearing Registration No. AJQ-848 near Gutwala Toll Plaza, Sheikhpur Road, Faisalabad.
The Customs team intercepted the said vehicle for checking but the driver taking advantage of the darkness fled from the scene. The Customs Intelligence team impounded the vehicle under the customs laws while efforts were being made to trace the location of the driver.
The Customs Adjudication issued notices to unknown accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969. However, the adjudication has directed the suspect to file reply by given time, which is also last date of hearing.
The adjudication also said that the case will be decided on available evidence if the accused person failed to appear before the authority.
