FST reserves verdict in ‘removal from services’ case

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Thursday reserved a decision on a complaint filed by an employee of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), challenging ‘removal from services’.

A division bench of the FST heard the case filed by Syed Salahuddin Gillani, who had challenged removal from service by the FBR administration.

The bench comprising Syed M Hamid and M Javed Iqbal Kasi heard arguments from both sides and reserved its decision which was likely to be announced in coming week.

The bench also heard the cases carrying submissions by Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed Ahmed and Said Hussain Abbasi. They had approached the tribunal to ensure implementation over FST’s decision given in their favour. The bench adjourned hearing of these cases.

Another bench of FST, comprising Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed adjourned hearing of complaints of ‘reversion of service’ filed by Noor Muhammad, Muhammad Ishtiaque and Aurangzeb FBR. They had submitted complaints subsequent to their demotion.
