Sialkot Customs collects Rs84m in 1Q quarter of FY 2016-17

SIALKOT: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Sialkot has collected Rs84.316 million as revenue in 1st quarter of Fiscal year 2016-17.

Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Choudhary told Customs Today that the Sialkot Customs has showed good performance to collect revenue during first Quarter of Fiscal Year 2016-17. He told that the customs collectorate  collected Rs84.316 million in wake of import duty, Airport, General Post Office collection etc.

He told that the revenue increased 66.5 percent compared to last fiscal year 2015-16. Fahad Bashir said that the rebate pendency has only growth by 0.2 percent compared to last fiscal year 2015-16 in the first Quarter. He told that the collection of revenue in Sialkot Customs is much better in the fiscal year 2016-17 while the department has made a good value in the eyes of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Higher Customs Authorities with reference of revenue collection.

He told that the other collection of revenue is continue by others wings of Sialkot. He told that the report of Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) revenue will be issued after auction of impounded vehicles and confiscated items. Assistant Collcetor instructed all wings that show good performance to collect revenue because the collection of revenue is very appropriate to strengthen the economy of the country. Whereas Collector has also ordered to all revenue collection wings that must try to achieve target of fiscal year 2016-17 rather surpass the target because the value of Sialkot Customs will increase if the target will surpass during present fiscal year.
