Hyderabad Customs seizes juice worth Rs 5.17m in September

HYDERABAD: The Customs authorities of Hyderabad seized 600 crates of Rani juice worth Rs 5.17 million during the month of September 2016.

According to details, the Customs authorities received information that a huge quantity of Rani juice will be smuggled outside Hyderabad. A Customs team under the supervision of Deputy Collector Nafees Ahmed Khan started checking of vehicles. During the checking, the team intercepted a vehicle and recovered 600 crates of Rani juice worth Rs 5.17 million.

The team asked the driver of the vehicle to show legal documents regarding possession and transportation of Rani juice but he failed to provide any relevant documents. Customs team seized all the loaded Rani juice and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceedings.
