LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive has collected Rs 6,287 million revenue, including all duty and taxes during the first quarter of financial year 2016-17.
The collectectrate collected Rs 1,867 million customs duty, which is Rs 138 million more than the assigned target, registering 8 percent growth as compared to the same period of the financial year 2015-16. The collectorate collected Rs 2,615 on account of sales tax during the period under review against Rs 2,749 million during the same period of the last financial year.
The collectoarte collected Rs 157 million on account of valuation tax during the period under review against the collection of Rs 138 million sales taxes same period last financial year.
The collectorate also collected excise and taxation duty of Rs 63 million during the 1st Q during the period under review while Rs 35 million were collected on account of FED during the same period last financial year.
On the other hand the collectorate collected Rs 1735 million on account of income tax for the three month during the period under review.
The collectorate collected Rs 6438 million including all the taxes during the period under review against the collection of Rs 6459 million during the three month of last financial year.
However, the collectorate extended Rs 151 million refunds and rebate during the three month while Rs 89 million were distributed among the importers and exporters on account of rebate and refund during the same period last financial year.
