Appraisement posts 10pc station wise growth in customs duty during 1Q

LAHORE: The Customs Appraisement has registered a growth of 10 percent by collecting Rs 4,860 million station wise customs duty during the first quarter of the financial year 20166-17.

The collectorate collected Rs 1,375 million from Lahore Dry Port during the first quarter of the financial year 2016-17 while Rs 2,526 million were collected from Container Freight Station (CFS) during the period under review.

Similarly, the collectorate collected Rs 670 million from Machikay during the period under review while Rs 288 million were collected from Prem Nagar Dry Port on account of customs duty during the first quarter of financial year 2016-17.

On the whole the collectorate collected Rs 4860 million on account of customs duty during the period against Rs 4437 million customs duty registering a growth of 10 percent during the same period last financial year compared to the same period last financial year.
