Nepra approves Rs2.56 per unit cut in power tariff

ISLAMABAD: The NEPRA on Wednesday approved Rs.2.56 per unit reduction in power tariff for August under monthly fuel adjustment formula.

The regulator approved the tariff reduction on a petition filed by CPPA. However, the reduction would not be applicable to the consumers of K-Electric and those who used up to 300 units. The relief would be given in billing of next month. The CPPA on behalf of power distribution sought reduction in power tariff owing to reduce fuel prices.
