Asif Marghoob Siddiqui likely to be appointed as Collector Preventive

KARACHI: A major transfer and posting is expected in Pakistan Customs Services (PCS),  it is learnt here.

Sources informed Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to make some transfers and postings at the key posts in the department.

The sources informed that the FBR is likely to transfer Director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Regional Office Karachi, Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, to the Customs Preventive.

It is pertinent to mention here that Collector  Export Dr Saifuddin Junejo is looking after the additional charge of the Collector Preventive. The FBR has decided to appoint a permanent Customs officer on the slot of the Collector Preventive, which was previously held by Collector Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda, who has gone for training abroad.

It may be mentioned here that the Asif Marghoob Siddiqui had previously served as the Collector Customs Hyderabad and has been serving as the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation for the last four years.
