Another transporter Shah Fahad remarked that they motorway authorities charged mini coaches the same amount of tax as they charge a coaster.

The protesters gathered near the toll plaza of the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway and blocked the one side the road to record their protest.

The Peshawar Transporters Union had given the call of the protest. Due to the closure of the road, motorists and other passengers faced great difficulties as large number of vehicles were stranded at the toll plaza.

The protesters were of the view that the government had doubled the amount of toll tax which is tantamount to injustice with the poor transporters and general public.

They demanded of the government to withdraw the increase till October 26 otherwise they would block the motorway for all kind of vehicular traffic. He said the government should fix the amount of tax as per number of seats in the passenger coaches.
