DUBLIN: EY Ireland yesterday reported fee income/revenue of €220m for the 12 months to the end of June, marking a 16.2% increase on the €190m generated in the previous financial year.
Ireland has been one of the strongest divisions for EY in recent times. In the same period, EY’s UK practice generated fee income growth of 7%, with the group as a whole reporting a 9% rise in revenues to $29.6bn (€26.9bn).
EY Ireland has managed to grow its revenue by around 16% in each of the last three years. It also upped its employee headcount by 15% in the last 12 months.
“The market-leading growth that we achieved in fiscal year 2016 has been driven by a continued strong performance across our four service lines in tandem with innovation across our service offerings, which has helped our clients navigate continued disruption within their businesses,” said EY Ireland country managing partner Mike McKerr.
“Posting double-digit growth for the third year in a row demonstrates our momentum as a firm and also positions us well to deliver an even stronger performance in fiscal year 2017.
“While core audit services remain the backbone of our assurance offering, we’re continually enhancing these services as disruption continues to be a key challenge for our clients.”
As of the end of last month, EY employs 2,088 people on the island of Ireland, which includes its recent intake of 253 graduates.
