72,462 notices served: Crackdown against tax defaulters continues in Sargodha

SARGODHA: Crackdown against property, vehicle and other tax defaulters is in progress in the Division without any discrimination.

This was stated by Excise and Taxation Sargodha Division Director Rana Intikhab while talking to the state-owned news agency. He said that over 72,462 properties and vehicle owners were served notices to submit taxes with five percent concession till August 31 in the division. He said that all out resources would be utilised for the recovery of taxes without any discrimination.

As many as 49,832 properties and vehicles owners were severed notices in Sargodha; 9,534 in Khushab; 6,895 in Mianwali district and 6,201 in Bhakhar district.

Meanwhile, the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has launched crackdown against encroachments, illegal land mafia and tax defaulters.

A TMA spokesman said that the administration had also sealed various shops of tax defaulters. He said that the TMA on the directions of Provincial government had started campaign against tax defaulters to achieve 100 per cent recovery target.
