FBR directs PRAL to ensure smooth flow of data to departments concerned

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed the Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) to ensure smooth flow of data and improve software programming.

The Member-Information Technology (IT) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has written a letter to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PRAL Ahmed Nawaz to ensure flawless flow of data to the departments concerned  of the FBR, so that the working could be continued without any impediment.

It may be mentioned here that the Director General of the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs Dr Owais Agha Jawwad has written a letter to the FBR, stating that his department was facing issues in getting post clearance data from the PRAL.

The DG Internal Audit-Customs further stated that the working of the department was being affected due to non-providing of data by PRAL on time which on one hand affecting the performance of the department while on the other hand, demoralizing the officials of the department.

Furthermore, the taxpayers, few days ago were expressed their deep concerns over non-working of IRIS System Software in filing their tax returns.

In this regard, the FBR have asked the CEO PRAL Ahmed Nawaz to ensure removal of glitches into the software in order to ensure smooth flow of traffic adding that also ensure provision of post clearance data to the relevant departments on its requisition.
