MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan has collected of Rs 4,417.315 million under different heads, including customs duty, sales tax, federal excise duty and income tax during October of fiscal year 2016-17.
The Customs Collectorate has collected Rs 4,417.315 million against set target of Rs 3212 million. The Customs Collectorate Multan has surpassed the revenue collection target due to their continuous efforts.
According to the statistics available with Customs Today, the Multan Customs collected Rs 733.397 million customs duty against the assigned target of Rs 508 million during October. The Collectorate of Multan Customs has witnessed Rs 225 million excessive collection than their set target with 44 percent increase in the collection of customs duty.
The Collectorate has collected revenue of Rs2670 million in share of sales tax in the month of October against its set target of million Rs.2358.794. Multan Customs has achieved the 88 percent revenue target of sales tax during October.
Similarly, Customs Collectorate Multan was assigned revenue target of Rs.16 million in wake of federal excise duty and it ollected Rs.13.081 million with attaining 82 percent collection target during said month.
Multan Customs also collected Rs.21.860 million in wake of income tax during October against the set target of Rs.18 million by attaining 78 % revenue collection goal.
The Customs Collectorate Multan has generated Rs.2.439 million in wake of additional sales tax and Rs.1287.754 million in terms of petroleum development levy during October of fiscal year 2016-17.
On the whole, Multan Customs has collected revenue of Rs.4417.315 including all heads of taxes in the first month of second quarter of fiscal year 2016-17.
Multan Customs Concerned authorities have expressed satisfaction over the accomplishment of the revenue target during October and Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich directed them to continue their revenue efforts for achieving revenue targets in the future as well
