BEIJING: China Customs Service reports that the country imported 431.81 KMT of wheat, which was 24.2% higher than in August and almost 100% more than in September 2015, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Since the beginning of the season (July-September) imports reached 1.085 MMT, which was 27.49% more than in 2015. Total wheat imports during 9 months of 2016 equaled 2.86 MMT. That was 27.37% more than during the same period in 2015. Exports of Kazakh wheat to China grew by 300%. Thus, in season  2014/15 110 KMT were exported, and in season 2015/16 (as of August 30, 2016) – 414 KMT. This became possible owing to a possibility to transport grain both in bags and in bulk in accordance with the protocol signed in 2016.
