Tesla provides electric cars in Ireland

DUBLIN: Telsa electric cars the Model S saloon and long-range Model X SUV are now available to customers in Ireland.

The Model Scan accelerate from zero to 100km/hour in 2.7 seconds and can drive up to 542km on a single charge. The Model X accelerates from zero to 100km/hour in 3.1 seconds.Prices start from €81,086 for the Model S and €110,042 for the Model X.

Tesla says both vehicles “come standard with active safety features for all customers, and additional autopilot capabilities can be enabled to make motorway driving safer and more enjoyable”.

Ireland has more than 1,200 public electric charging points throughout the country. New Tesla owners can qualify for incentives including the lowest rate of motor tax, reduced vehicle registration tax and a Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland grant of up to €5,000.
