FST to hear several complaints filed by FBR employees today

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of Federal Service Tribunal to hear several service matters challenging administrative measures taken by the administration of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday.

All of the cases to be heard by the benches were filed by the employees of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Amongst them, couple of appellants had filed petitions recently while the rest were pending with the tribunal since months.

FST division bench comprising Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Syed Muhammad Hamid would hear two cases filed by Arif Saeed and Shafqat Rasool Sindhou.

Former appellant had raised issue of ‘special allowance’ while the later on had submitted complaint on ‘censure’ before the tribunal.

Another bench of FST, comprising tribunal’s members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed will resume hearing of cases carrying complaints about seniority and implementation by the FBR.

Appellants M Taimur and M Jamil filed petitions regarding implementation of FST decisions by the FBR. They had been granted their due promotion but yet the FBR had not implemented tribunal’s orders in letter and spirit.   They had pleaded the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier given decisions.

The bench also heard Shafqat Mahmud’s complaint about ‘promotion’; Khalid Mehmood’s case of ‘seniority’; Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani and Ata ur Rehman’s cases on ‘withholding of two annual increments’.
