Peshawar Customs to hold auction of non-duty paid goods, vehicles on November 10

ISLAMABAD: Customs Collectorate Peshawar will hold public auction of the confiscated goods and vehicles on November 10.

Deputy Collector Zakir Mohammad told Customs Today that confiscated non-duty paid vehicles are included in the upcoming auction. If anyone is interested in examining the vehicles he can visit the State Warehouse Hayatabad, Peshawar.

He added that the vehicles are also parked at Customs Station Abbottabad and Warehouse of Customs Mardan office. He said that goods which will be offered for auction include fabric, auto parts, LEDs, tyres etc.

He said that all interested auctioneers can visit Auction Cell at Customs House located at University Town Peshawar for further details and inspection of vehicles and goods.

He said that in the month of July-August FY2016-17 the Collectorate collected customs duty under value of Rs.21.62 million through auction of miscellaneous goods and during the same period in FY-2015-16 the Auction Cell collected Rs.10.51 million through auction of miscellaneous items in shape of custom duty.

The deputy collector said that during July-August FY2016 the MCC Peshawar collected revenue through auction in shape of sales tax under value of Rs.4.18 million while and in same month of FY2015 the customs authorities collected Rs.2.19 million in shape of sales tax.

He added  that during the month of July-August 2016-17 the Collectorate collected additional income Tax under value of Rs. 2.99 million and during the same period of FY-2015-16 the Collectorate collected Rs1.89 million (AIT) through auction of vehicles and miscellaneous goods.

He said that MCC collected Rs.29.02 million of duty taxes during auctions held in July-August FY2016-17 and during the same period of FY 2015 the Auction Cell collected Rs.14.59 million in shape of all duty taxes.
