FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker, Manzoor Ahmed, on the allegations of extorting Rs 1.243 million from a citizen to send him to Australia for employment.
According to details, the suspect was allegedly involved in sending people abroad illegally. FIA Deputy Director Syed imam Zaidi and inspector conducted a raid and arrested the accused who was running illegal business of sending innocent people abroad, especially to European and Middle East countries after extorting big amount from them.
The FIA has also seized passports and several fake visas of different countries from his possession. The officials sent the accused behind the bars after registering a case number 112/2016 against him under Section 17/22 of Emigration Ordinance, 1979.
