Customs Central Region collects Rs 38. 57b duty, taxes from July to November 2016-17

LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs 38.57 billion all duty and taxes during (July-November) of finical year 2016-17.

AS per details, Customs Appraisement collected Rs 19,145 million during the four months of the financial year 2016-17 against the collection of Rs 18,947 million during the same period of last financial year.

Similarly, the collectorte of Customs Preventive collected Rs 8,593 million during the period under review against Rs 9,229 million collected during the same period of the last financial of 2015-16.

On the other hand, the collectorate of Customs Multan collected Rs 7,891 million during the period under review against Rs 13,003 million collected in the same period of the last financial year.

Correspondingly, the collectorate of Faisalabad collected Rs 2,941 million during the first quarter of financial year 2016-17 against Rs 1,601 million during the same period during first quarter financial year 2015-16. On the whole the collectorate collected Rs 38,572 million during the period under review

Sources told Customs Today that Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Samaira Nazir has directed all the four collectors including collector of Customs Preventive and Customs Appraisement to speed up collection of the duty and taxes to achieve the financial year’s targets.
