FST adjourns hearing of complaints filed by FBR employees

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Friday held the hearing of cases carrying complaints about ‘seniority’ and implementation matters and directed the board to submit a reply before the tribunal at the earliest.

A division bench of the FST comprising members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed, was hearing the matters.

Appellants, M Taimur and Muhammad Jamil, had filed these petitions challenging board’s lethargy regarding implementation of the FST’s decisions which were announced earlier.

The bench adjourned hearing of cases for coming week with direction to further assist the bench on the matters. The bench directed the board to submit details on the matters being pending at the board.

Appellants M Taimur and M Jamil filed petitions regarding pending implementation over FST decisions by the FBR. The tribunal had decided in their favor and had directed the board of promote them to the due scales but yet the FBR had not implemented tribunal’s orders in letter and spirit. They had pleaded the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier given decisions.

Meanwhile, another bench of FST comprising Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Syed Muhammad Hamid also heard two case filed by Arif Saeed.

Appellants had raised issue of ‘special allowance’ and ‘seniority’ before the tribunal. The bench adjourned hearing for further arguments without issuing any direction to sides.
