Customs Appellate Tribunal chairman to resume hearing of plenty of cases from today

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal chairman Justice (r) Malik Manzoor Hussain to resume hearing of plenty of customs references at headquarters from Monday (today). The chairman would hold bearing in single and division benches for couple of days at the tribunal’s headquarters. 

The tribunal had issued the new schedule for the November 14 and 15 following postponement of hearing during first week of November at the tribunal headquarters.  Customs Appellate Tribunal’s division bench, comprising Chairman Hussain and Member Technical, Ziauddin Wazir would hear 12 cases on the day.

 These cases were filed by M/s Waseem Autos, M/s Nisar Traders, M/s Parts & Parts, M/s Chief Autos, M/s Aman Elahi, M/s Kohinoor Traders, M/s Saleem Silk Centre, M/s Five Star Trading, M/s Pakistan Royal Group and M/s Nayatel Private Limited. The appellants had filed cases against Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation, Islamabad.

 Hearing of six cases by a single bench, comprising chairman, was also postponed. This bench had to hear cases filed by M/s Degicell & others, M/s Kohinoor Chemical, Mirza Muhammad Majid, M/s Fazal Razaq, M/s Fazalur Rehman and Gul Rehman & others. M/s Degicell & others and M/s Kohinoor Chemical filed cases against Model Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad.

 Mirza Muhammad Majid, M/s Fazal Razaq, M/s Fazalur Rehman and Gul Rehman & others had made Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigations, Islamabad respondent in the cases.
