Hearing of Rs 772m Q Mobile tax evasion case adjourned

MULTAN: Hearing of a case against Q Mobile for evading custom tax duty worth Rs 772 million was held at Adjudication -1 on Wednesday.

Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Multan is fighting the biggest tax evasion case of its history. According to sources, the MCC Multan has attended all the hearings of this tax duty evasion case of Q-Mobile with serious notice.

The MCC Multan attended all hearings regularly conducted on September 22, October13 and November 27. Q-Mobile defence counsel asked Adjudication for adjournment of the case two times for preparation.

The Q-Mobile remained absent from the hearing as they were adopting delaying tactics. Sources told Customs Today that Q-Mobile defence counsels quoted many international cases for the defence of their tax evasion.
