ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to probe into the parliamentarians’ assets with the help of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)
In this regard, the ECP has developed a framework with the assistance of FBR, FIA and others investigative agencies under the People’s Representation Act.
Political Finance Wing deputy director will monitor the funds spent on the election campaigns while the parliamentarian’s current assets would be compared to those which they possessed two years earlier. According to the ECP, the probe will commence on every November 1.
