Multan Customs Intelligence generates Rs 13.368m through auction of non-duty paid vehicles, goods

MULTAN:Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office has generated Rs 13.368 million through the monthly auction of confiscated goods and vehicles lying in the State Warehouse.

According to details, Customs Intelligence Multan organized auction of the confiscated goods lying at the warehouse of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office located at the Raja Pur Khanewal Road Multan bypass.

Customs presented twelve various  impounded vehicles including Toyota Vitz, Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedez Benz, Honda Aspire, Suzuki Alto ,Toyota Corolla G, Toyota Hilux Surf, Suzuki Kei DJ, Toyota Premio, Toyota Fielder X and others for auction held at Customs Intelligence Multan Range Office. Four vehicles Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Vitz, Suzuki Alto and Toyota Corolla G were successfully auctioned after bidding process. While other presented vehicles were rejected in auction due to fewer bids offered from their average prices. The impounded vehicles have generated Rs.4.6 million from the auction of four seized vehicles during auction.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan has auctioned various articles including old and used, 16700 kilogram of art silk cloth, foreign origin 13 various heavy duty generators ,foreign origin cloth, Split AC, cooling pipe, mini embroidery machine, insect killer spray, gear box engines, rims, ball bearing auto parts scrap, mobile phone chargers, drill machines ,fire safety equipment’s ,electric motors, dismantle auto parts of 17 various vehicles were also presented in auction.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation has earned Rs.90.8 million from the auction of miscellaneous goods. During the auction held at the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office several miscellaneous confiscated items were not offered any bid during the auction process due to less interest of public.

Deputy Director Muhammad Riaz of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad supervised the whole auction process along with Superintendent Zahid Raza and auctioneer Muhammad Akram carried out auction.
