Islamabad Customs collects Rs 436.81m in November

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad collected Rs 436.81 million under the head of customs duty against the assigned target of Rs 436 million during the month of November financial year 2016-17

Officials told Customs Today that Collector Arslan Subactageen exceeds the assigned target and showed 100 percent performance. He added that during the same period of previous financial year, the department collected Rs 369.91 million.

As per the details Islamabad Customs collected Rs 411.57 million as customs duty during month of October 2016-17 against the assigned target of Rs 407 million as for as exceed the said target with difference of Rs4.57 million and showed 100% of achievement against the assigned target. During the same period FY 2015-16 the department collected Rs378.56 million with difference of Rs 33.01 million against the assigned target.

Dr. Arslan said that in September FY16-17 MCC collected Rs 430.52 million against the given target of Rs 291.00 million with difference of Rs139.52 million and showed better achievement against the given target. He added that the department collected Rs 399.39 million during correspondence year September FY 2015-16 and exceeded the assigned target with difference of Rs 31.13 million.

He said that during the first quarter (July to September) of FY 16-17 Islamabad Customs collected Rs 1120.35 million under the head of customs duty against the assigned target of Rs1119 with difference of Rs 1.35 million. He added that during said period the department showed 100 percent achievement against the given target for customs duty, he further said that during the same period of corresponding year of 2015-16 the department collected Rs 938.52 million with difference of Rs 181.83 million.
