Customs Appraisement West collects Rs 24,001 m duties/taxes in November 2016

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement West collected Rs 24,001 million duties/taxes under the head of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and the federal excise duty in the month of November 2016.

The official sources told Customs Today that Appraisement West collected a total of Rs 24,001 million as duties/taxes in the month of November 2016 that included Rs 9,227 million under the head of customs duty, Rs 10,423 million sales tax, Rs 4,186 million income tax and Rs 166 million federal excise duty (FED).

The Customs Appraisement West collected Rs 2,195 million on the last working day i.e. November 30, 2016 that include Rs 913 million as custom duty, Rs 934 million as sales tax, Rs 341 million as income tax and Rs 6 million as federal excise duty (FED).

So far, the Customs Appraisement West has collected a total of Rs 117,179 million duties/taxes since July 1, 2016 till November 30, 2016 that included Rs 46,008 million as customs duty, Rs 49,888 million as sales tax, Rs 20,486 million as income tax and Rs 797 million as federal excise duty (FED).

The sources said Collector Appraisement West Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi felicitated the staff for achieving the revenue target and emphasized to continue the same spirit in the future as well.
