Collector Ahmed Reza bans entry of unauthorized persons in collectorate

SIALKOT: Collector Customs Collectorate Ahmed Reza issued a notification banning the entry of  unauthorized persons on its premises the other day.

Sources told Customs Today that these measures are being taken to ensure foolproof security of the Collectorate because the strict security is need of the hour.

Sources told that the officials of Customs Collectorate will ensure that no unauthorized person enters the office premises to represent any clearing agent, importers, exporters, business house or firm to transact business. Sources told that the authorities are directed to enter the name of the representative or CNIC before allowing him or her to enter the premises. Sources said any officer dealing with a person other then authorized person shall be held responsible for consequences if any violation of law is detected at subsequent stage.

Sources said that management will take strict action against entry of irrelevant persons into the Collectorate premises.

The collector said that visitors for matters other than pursuing the goods declarations should approach the MCC Sialkot reception desk whereas the official at the reception desk shall allow the visitor to meet the relevant officer after seeking approval.

It is learnt that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has already directed to the all Collectorates of the country that they must adopted foolproof security measures.
