ISLAMABAD: A division bench of Federal Service Tribunal, headed by FST chairman Justice (R) Syed Zahid Hussain, reserved decision on couple of cases filed by employees of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday.

FST bench comprising Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussain and Syed Muhammad Hamid heard the cases filed by Akbar Ali Shad, Qaiser Khan, Taj Muhammad and Ahmed Saeed.

The bench reserved decision on cases filed by Taj Muhammad and Ahmed Saeed. Hearing on other cases was adjourned till next week. On the previous hearing, the bench had directed the sides to finalize arguments before next date of hearing.

Appellants had filed these complaints against the FBR administration. The bench had adjourned hearing of these cases couple of months ago.

These appellants had also filed submissions about ‘implementation’ and had prayed the tribunal to direct the board on fulfilling tribunal’s former orders regarding their submissions.

They had complained about board’s lethargy and submitted that the board administration had not taken bench’s order serious and did not compile the orders.  They asked the tribunal to bring justice to them by ensuring implementation over the tribunal’s orders.

It is pertinent to mention here that a large number of complaints are pending with the tribunal carrying similar substance. Almost all the appellants had asked the tribunal to take strict notice of board’s weariness about the employees affairs.
