LAHORE: Customs Central Region has collected Rs 4332 million under the head of customs duty during the month of November 2016 registering 18 percent growth as compared to target of Rs 36675 during the same period of last financial year 2015-16.
As per details, the Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Rs 2265 million during the month of November against the assigned target of Rs 2160 million.
Similarly, Customs Preventive collected Rs 740 million customs duty during the month against the collection target of Rs 778 million.
The Collectorate of Multan collected Rs 1007 million during the period under review against the assigned target of Rs 593 million.
In the same way, the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad collected Rs 319 million during the month of November against the target of Rs144 million.
Overall the Central Region collected total customs duty from all four collectrates worth Rs4332 million against target of Rs 3675 million the during the same period.
Sources said that Chief Collector of Customs Samaira Nazir has ordered the collectorates to put all-out energies to achieve the target for the financial year and bring out good results.
